I made my uncle a shirt for Christmas with a picture of his dog and the caption, “What’s that, Lassie? Little Timmy has fallen down the oubliette?” I wanted to make it look old-fashioned, so I went with a woodcut-like design. I was inspired by 19th-century newspapers and a Milton Glaser advertisement for Olivetti.
